Software Technology Parks of India

Software Technology Parks of India was established as an Autonomous Society under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India in 1991. The objective of STPI is to encourage, promote and boost the Software Exports from India. STPI acts as single -window facilitation centres for budding entrepreneurs & start-ups.

STPI has been one of the growth drivers for the Indian Information Technology and Hardware Industry by implementing policies and incentives of Govt. of India. STPI’s industry promotional and service provider role have been one of the ingredients in the success stories of Indian IT offshore Industries. Since its inception in 1991, STPI has been playing a constructive role, interfacing the industry with the government. STPI has its presence across 59 locations in the country. In Rajasthan STPI has its presence in Jaipur and Jodhpur.

The STPI incubation facility has well-furnished air conditioned rooms to accommodate workstations, raw space is also provide to start-ups where the unit can build the working space as per their requirement. Besides this, it has Board / Conference rooms for business discussion which are utilized by the Entrepreneurs. It also provides data connectivity, Server Room facility and so on. All facility is available on nominal charge. To support STPI is also coming up with new facility as incubation in around 20,000 Sq. Ft. of built up space at Jaipur for SME / Start-ups.

In order to support the new entrepreneurs of this industry, STPI in association with University of Delhi and Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) has set up an Electropreneur Park in the Delhi University campus, STPI in association with Government of Karnataka has setup Semiconductor Characterization lab in Bengaluru, branded as SMART (Semiconductor Measurement Analysis & Reliability Test) lab among others.

STPI has been promoting the IT/ITES Industries, especially the Start-ups and MSMEs, which has become a catalyst for sustainable growth. STPI is working closely with State Governments, Industry and Academia for promotion of innovation led entrepreneurship.

The services rendered by STPI for the software exporting community are Statutory Services, Data Communications Services, Incubation facilities, Co-location Services, Project Management & Consultancy (PMC) Services, Managed IT Services and others.
